PTU Season's Greetings Tutorial

 Materials Needed

A tube of choice. I used the Awesome artwork of 

Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased @ EliasArtShop.com(EAS)  

You will need a license to use his art.

A Scrap Kit of Choice. I used Fiona Devil’s Creations PTU FifiDevils_It'sChristmasTime” 

that may be purchased @ (Digi Fox’s Studio)

 

Let’s Begin

Face Book Timeline

Open a new transparent image 852 x 315

Transparent Background

Select All

 

Paper_4 Copy/Paste – Paste into Selection

Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Select None

New Raster Layer

Selection Tool – Rectangle – Feathers 1

Make a rectangle like image below:

Choose a color for you foreground and background.

I choose FG C00000 (Red) BF 004000 (Green)

Flood Fill with Gradient Angle 90 Repeats 5

Adjust Sharpen – Select None

Layers Duplicate – Image Mirror

Element_12 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 50%, move to the top right

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 70, 1 - Color Blk

Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Layers Duplicate-Image Mirror

Element_17 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 35%, move to the left

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 70, 1 - Color Blk

Element_32 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 15%, move unto the Christmas tree

Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Layers Duplicate-move element to a different position and repeat this step three more times.

Select Layer – Copy of Raster 2

Element_42 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 50%, move upward right

Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Layers Duplicate-Image Mirror

Element_31 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 35%, move to the right

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 62, 5 - Color Blk

Select Layer – Copy of Raster 3

Element_40 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 35%, move to the left

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 62, 5 - Color Blk

Image-Mirror - Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Select Layer – Copy of Raster 6

Element_25 Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 50%, move to the right

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 62, 5 - Color Blk

Click on Top Layer in Layers Pallets

Click on tube – Duplicate – (Shift-D) Close Original

Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 60% move right

Add Drop Shadow 1, 3, 35, 3 - Color Blk

Copy/Paste as New Layer – Image Mirror

Resize 60% move left and down like mine

Add Drop Shadow 2, 2, 62, 5 - Color Blk

X out Raster Layer 8 – Layer Merge Flatten

Selection Tool – Make a selection 

to use for the avatar like image below and copy

Open New Raster Layer 150 x 150 - Select All

Paste into selection – Select None

Image-Add borders 1 symmetric Black

Add © Copyright info and Name or Letter

Save as JPEG

Back to your original tag

Edit-Undo Selection, Edit-Undo Merge All, 

Edit- Undo Layer Visibility

Add WordArt_4, Copy/Paste as New Layer

Resize 40% move into position

DS: 1, 3, 35, 3

Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen

Layers-Merge Flatten

Image-Add borders 1 symmetric Black

Add © Copyright info and Name or Letter

Save as JPEG

Your Done!!
